Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Be the technical advisor to the assigned customer base and Customer Service Team. This role collaborates closely with customers to address technical inquiries and overcome potential obstacles in the sales process.
Engage with customers via phone, email, and virtual meetings to understand their technical requirements and challenges.
Provide product information to customers, demonstrating how our offerings meet their needs while addressing technical inquiries and overcoming potential obstacles in the sales process.
Collaborate with the rest of the Sales and Marketing Departments to develop and implement effective sales strategies including identifying upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
Coordinate Lead Generation system including vetting leads, mining databases, and distribution of leads to the Sales Area Managers for follow up.
Monitor and distribute emails to info@ and CAD drawing inquiries to the appropriate Sales and marketing contacts for lead follow up.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system including report generation.
Ability to distinguish between ideal and non-ideal customers and proactively cultivate business with previously unknown Accounts.
Maintain a deep understanding of our products or services, including their technical specifications and applications. staying abreast of industry trends, and competitive products.
Assist in preparing and presenting technical compliance document requests, proposals, quotes, and product demonstrations.
Experience and Qualifications:
College/University coursework in a relevant technical field (Engineering, Business, etc.) preferred (degree a plus) or strong hands-on experience with technical applications (mechanic, machining, CAD modeler, carpentry, etc.) and comfortable reading technical drawings.
Experience in a customer-facing role. Experience in technical sales or B2B sales a plus.
Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn and understand complex products.
Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools a plus.
