Job Title: Quality Control Inspector – Welding
Location: Honey Brook, PA
Schedule: Day Shift Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Range: $28 – $32/hour
Duration: Now through December 2025
Dress Code: Steel toe boots, safety glasses, shop-appropriate clothing
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector – Welding to join our team in Honey Brook, PA. This role is crucial in supporting our general fabrication, ASME Section VIII, and NQA-1 markets. As part of our mission to improve project throughput, elevate first-pass quality, and meet delivery expectations, you'll play a vital role in the growth of the RVII organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical quality support within RVII manufacturing facilities
Collect, report, and present key quality KPIs
Participate in pre-job contract reviews
Develop and implement inspection and test plans for both manufactured and purchased parts
Interface with vendors to resolve quality-related issues
Conduct internal audits of quality systems and processes
Host external inspection agencies and customer auditors
Prepare, revise, and implement quality procedures and work instructions
Review designs to ensure compliance with technical specifications
Perform dimensional and non-destructive inspections in line with codes and customer requirements
Manage non-conforming products inventory
Ensure contract compliance and manage deliverables
Coordinate NDE inspection activities with manufacturing team
Ensure compliance with M&TE and testing procedures
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Level II NDE qualifications in VT, MT, PT, BLT, UT-T
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) – American Welding Society
Strong knowledge of ASME Y14.5 specifications
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Bachelor's degree in engineering or quality-related field with 2+ years of experience, or 10+ years of QC experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented
Ability to work independently and lead others
Educational & Physical Requirements:
2–4 year degree or equivalent relevant inspection experience
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform frequent bending, crouching, overhead reaching, and standing
Exposure to industrial environments, including dust, grease, and moving machinery
Must pass a 10-panel drug test and physical fitness exam
Must be able to complete and pass a physical assessment
Able to perform all job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
