Summary:
Our facility is seeking Urology Locum coverage for a period of 3-4 months.
Details:
Schedule: Monday to Friday with approximately 10 patients per day. Monday dedicated to the operating room with about 16 patients, full days from Tuesday to Thursday, and half day on Friday. Night and 24-hour call coverage required.
Duties Include:
General urology patient care in an ambulatory clinic and community hospital.
Perform general urology office procedures such as cystoscopy, vasectomies, and prostate biopsy.
Conduct OR cases for treatment involving BPH, kidney stones, and other general urology cases.
Patient Demographics: 100% adult urology, typically ages 18 and above, with the occasional patient as young as 16.
Facility Equipment: The facility is equipped with a Da Vinci robotic system.
Call Details: Average call volume includes 4-5 calls a day with approximately 3 in-person calls per week.
Admissions and Rounding: The hospitalist team handles admissions, with the urology team serving as consultants. Urologists are responsible for rounds and may see inpatients during lunch if necessary.
Support Staff: Includes front desk check-in, a surgery scheduler, a Medical Assistant-Certified (Uro Tech), and a Registered Nurse.
Technology: Utilizes the EPIC Electronic Medical Records system.
Requirements:
Board Certified in Urology
Washington State License or IMLC with documentation
Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and DEA
Clean background and malpractice history
Preferences:
Local candidates preferred, though not strictly required.
This role is intended to provide interim support until a permanent urologist is hired. Please note any previous work at other related facilities when submitting.
