Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center is seeking a Locum Trauma Surgeon.
Coverage Needs:
Gaps exist while recruiting a full-time surgeon.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, three weeknights per week, and weekend call shifts.

- 35%

- 617

- Epic
Description of OR Staff:
- Full complement
Patient Demographic:
- Primarily adult/geriatric, occasionally child/adolescent
Provider Requirements:
- Must be local (only mileage reimbursed)
Procedures Required:
- Trauma cases: adult, geriatric, penetrating, blunt- Chest tube insertion
Laparoscopic Procedures Required:
- Appendectomy- Cholecystectomy
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe:
- 30-40 days if all licensure is active and in good standing
- Credentialing costs or application fees are not reimbursed
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified: required
- Fellowship Training: required
- Active CT License: required (can reconsider if no candidates available)- ACLS: required
- Local Candidates: preferred
- DEA: verbal confirmation required
On-Call Requirements:
- Three nights per week and weekends
Weekend Expectations:
- Two weekend shifts, Saturday/Sunday for 24 hours from 7 am to the next day 7 am
Certifications Needed:
- ACLS, Board Certified, DEA
