Sign Production Technician Compensation

The pay for this position is $30 per hour

Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Sign Production Technician Highlights

This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

The required availability for this position is Day Shift 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Sign Production Technician Responsibilities

Perform all activities associated with fabrication, production, and distribution of highway signs

Use equipment such as shears, punch press, squeeze roll applicators, silkscreen equipment, saws, drill press, and overhead crane

Apply reflective sheeting, perform assembly, layout, and silk screen fabrication

Read and interpret blueprints

Sort, stack, load, unload, transport, and pack sign materials

Operate forklift and follow all industrial safety practices

Maintain inventory control, keep shop clean, and support miscellaneous production duties

Execute special signage projects for agencies such as the State Highway Patrol, State Fire Inspector, and more

Sign Production Technician Requirements

Basic formal education in arithmetic, including fractions, decimals, percentages, and ruler reading

3 months of training or experience in sheet metal work and operation of related equipment

3 months of training or experience in sign production and industrial safety practices

High School Diploma or GED

Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Sign Production Technician Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of industrial safety practices

Skilled in silk screen printing and sheet metal work

Ability to read blueprints and use hand tools with dexterity

Computer literacy for order processing and production tracking
