Position Overview:
In this role, you'll assess and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You will also provide education to families and caregivers, take part in clinical instruction of students, and may occasionally provide coverage across multiple sites.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher from an accredited speech-language pathology program
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the practicing state
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
Necessary Skills:
Proficiency in verbal and written English communication
Familiarity with basic computer applications, including email, Word, and Excel
Must have transportation to travel between work locations when necessary
Key Responsibilities:
Perform thorough evaluations and develop individualized care plans
Adjust assessments and goals based on medical status and functional needs
Implement appropriate therapeutic interventions using evidence-based methods
Provide education and training to patients and caregivers for home application
Determine readiness for discharge when therapy goals are met
Maintain clear, timely documentation aligned with departmental and payer standards
Coordinate care and updates with physicians and other team members
Submit daily billing and documentation accurately
Follow all clinical and professional codes of ethics
Adhere to safety standards and ergonomic practices
Supervise and mentor at least one graduate student or clinical intern annually
Attend ongoing educational workshops to refine clinical skills
Take part in educational presentations or departmental learning sessions
