Northwest HealthCare, six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.

The Radiation Department is an outpatient department providing radiation therapy to not only outpatients but hospitalized patients as well. The majority of patient are in need of treatment for malignant tumors. On occasion, a benign disease will be treated and histologically benign tumors, which behave in a malignant fashion, are also treated. Patients range in age from 18 years and above. The radiation oncology department performs simulation and 3D simulation, dosimeter, and radiation treatment procedures on oncology patients to the specifications and standards established by the department Medical Director, state, and federal regulations. This includes brachytherapy and Teletherapy (including Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy).

Role Purpose

Provides administrative support to the department(s) as assigned. Additionally, the role coordinates special/specific projects and programs as per department management.

Responsibilities

Types and distributes memos, correspondence and reports and composes documents as needed.

Coordinates and administers all office supplies and materials.

Schedules meetings and appointments, routes correspondence.

Provides support to office assistants as assigned.

High School Diploma or GED
