Job Description

Our client in seeking a qualified 1st shift Forklift Driver to join their team! Forklift Drivers will focus on safe and efficient movement of products and materials.

Schedule: 7:30am-4:00pm

Starting Rate: $20.00/Hr. (increase after Coverting to permanent employee)

Forklift Driver Responsibilities:

Utilize a forklift and/or hand-jack to move product throughout the warehouse and to load and unload trucks.

Pick and select items to be shipped and check quantities for accuracy.

Work with full pallets and create partial pallets for shipment

Utilize a handheld scanner for inventory control purposes.

Complete customer orders by obtaining product from warehouse stock and deliver to the designated staging area.

Apply labels to pallets prepared for shipment where necessary and maintain pick records of items for shipment.

Unload delivery vehicles:

Verify delivery quantities by comparing items received to the packing slips

Visually inspect for shortages and notify management of discrepancies

Move, lift, and carry, delivered items to appropriate areas and stock safely.

Forklift Driver Skills & Qualifications

Prior work experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment

Ability to read, speak, and understand English

Ability to safely operate a forklift – certification provided on-site

Must have previous experience with and the ability to use a handheld scanner

Ability to work from written and verbal instructions

Time management, planning, and organization skills

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work as a team

Math aptitude – ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide

Ability to pass criminal background and drug screen
