Automation Technician

Contract (3-4 months)
Night Shift
The Automation Technician plays a key role in driving innovation across Operations, directly supporting company goals related to OEE, labor efficiency, and product quality. This contract position (3 to 4 months in duration) contributes to enhanced customer satisfaction and profitability by identifying and implementing automation solutions that streamline processes and reduce costs.
Collaboration and strong communication are essential, as the Automation Technician ensures smooth integration of new technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and implement automated systems to improve process control, reduce labor, and enhance quality compliance.
Standardize automation and vision system solutions in partnership with approved vendors.
Create and maintain documentation within the IQMS system, including safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
Coordinate project timing with scheduling to minimize production downtime and disruptions.
Source equipment and manage vendor or contractor activities, including procurement of parts and services.
Complete and close work orders using IQMS.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production and infrastructure equipment as needed.
Ensure compliance with ISO and company safety protocols.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in automation or maintenance, ideally in an injection molding environment.
Familiarity with ISO standards preferred.
Experience with PLCs, vision systems, and automation technologies preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems is a plus.
