Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Tool and Die Maker to join our client's team in Johnson County! This role plays a key part in supporting tooling repairs, creating new fixtures and gauges, and keeping operations running smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and models to plan tool and die fabrication
Assemble, repair, and modify gauges, jigs, and dies using both hand and machine tools
Troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues, including progressive and manual dies
Verify part dimensions with precision tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to address and resolve concerns
Suggest improvements to existing tools and assist with new tooling implementation
Contribute to safety initiatives and process improvements
Communicate findings and recommendations with management and team members
What You Bring:
5+ years of experience in tool and die making (required)
Strong knowledge of machining, stamping, and forming processes
Skilled in blueprint reading and GD&T
Excellent problem-solving and math skills
Attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
