The VP/Commercial Lending Underwriter is responsible for the specific duties listed below.
Your specific duties will include:
Providing credit and loan underwriting expertise to the Commercial Banking team.
Analyzing prospective loan transactions and the creditworthiness of borrowers.
Spread financials to evaluate credit structure and terms
Preparing detailed credit analyses and offering opinions and recommendations regarding proposed credit and potential risks.
Ensuring all due diligence and background evaluations are complete and thorough before submitting the Credit Memorandum.
Specific qualifications for the position include:
Minimum 5 years' experience in underwriting medium to large-sized and moderately complex commercial credit.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a banking or financial services environment.
Bachelor’s degree required; formal credit training is highly preferred.
Extensive technical expertise and full knowledge of commercial credit principles, financial concepts, and regular use of ingenuity and creativity in solving complex credit problems.
Pay Rate Range: $100,000 - $125,000 per year
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental, and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
