OTR Flatbed Driver Position Summary:

Indy Specialized Transport is seeking experienced and safety-conscious OTR Flatbed Drivers to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As an OTR Flatbed Driver, you will be responsible for transporting various types of freight, including steel and oversized loads, while ensuring safe and timely deliveries. Our ideal candidate has a solid track record of safe driving and is eager to contribute to our small, tight-knit team of professionals. We offer a variety of freight opportunities, including flatbed, multi-axle, step deck, and double drop.

Responsibilities:

Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.

Secure and transport various types of freight, such as steel and oversized loads, utilizing proper load securement techniques.

Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate logs and documentation.

Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members regarding delivery schedules, load status, and any issues that may arise.

Ensure timely delivery of freight, providing excellent customer service and maintaining professionalism at all times.

Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, contributing to a positive company image and overall safety.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.

1-2 years of verifiable safe driving experience.

Steel and oversized hauling experience is a plus.

Strong commitment to safety and adherence to DOT regulations.

Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a small, family-oriented team.

Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to various freight opportunities.

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000, based on experience and performance.
