QUALIFICATIONS
2 Years or more preferred not required willing to train new operators
•
Motor vehicle driving record that is consistent with Company and insurance carrier standards and policies
•
Must be able to work as a team
•
Must be able to speak and understand English
•
Preferred valid Commercial Driver's License
•
Must able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test
Must have strong work ethic, be a self starter, a problem solver, and a team player
•
Must be able to wear any required PPE
•
Necessary certifications as required
Ability to professionally communicate
•
Able to perform heavy lifting; minimum 50 pounds
•
Commitment to Safety- Provides a sustained effort and dedication to getting the job done safely, works continuously to produce superior work regardless of obstacles or setbacks
Completing Driver Application as is required in the
FMCSA
•
IF YOU HAVE A CDL
Providing information on employers for the previous three years prior to employment in order to complete
DOT mandated "Inquiry to Previous Employers: Safety Performance History Records" and having no record of safety, drug, or alcohol infractions

IF YOU HAVE A CDL
Providing a current CDL license with verification

IF YOU HAVE A CDL
Having a current and valid Medical Examiners Certificate attached to their CDL
RESPONSIBILITIES
•
An equipment operator is tasked with the safe and efficient operations of heavy machinery, such as, but not limited to, loaders, dump trucks, backhoes, excavators, and more
•
The equipment operator ensures that the machinery he or she is about to use is in good working order, and then follows all relevant procedures and protocols while using it
•
The operator may be asked to provide input into the way some equipment is used on a site and is required to report any noticed anomalies in operation to the acting supervisor
•
The operator also typically assists with any loading or unloading of the equipment
•
The operator must carefully follow the directives of acting site supervisors.
•
Equipment operators must always stay in control
•
Clean, lubricate, maintain, and/or repair equipment
Set up, operate, and service equipment
•
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
Maintain a clean and presentable jobsite
•
Operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner
•
Store and transport all equipment safely and securely
•
Able to travel to jobsites during all phases of a project and able to travel to jobsites which may be remote and required by position.
•
Provide proper clothing, food and drinks.
•
Must have dependable transport.
•
Review and adhere to federal, state, and local guidelines
•
Adhere to QA/QC procedures
•
Available to work extended hours as required by project schedules or urgent schedules
•

Penasco Gravel, Corp. is a small mom and pop operation located in the Sacramento mountains of southern New Mexico we provide mobile crushing and screening along with operating our own quarries and selling materials to the local market. We do excavation jobs large and small in the area and work with the Federal government and local governments.
Full-time
