Registered Nurse – Youth Development Center Hours
5x8 hour shifts per week
Schedule is rotating from 7am-3:30pm and 1:00pm-9:30pm
This will include working every other weekend
Registered Nurse – Youth Development Center Compensation
The pay for this position is $45.00-50.00 an hour
Benefits are available to full-time employees
A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees.
Registered Nurse – Youth Development Center Responsibilities
Deliver professional nursing care and treatment services to individuals in a secure, structured behavioral health treatment environment.
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, collect medical histories, and monitor physical and mental health status of residents.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians in accordance with established protocols and regulatory standards.
Monitor, document, and report changes in residents’ conditions; initiate appropriate nursing interventions as necessary.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physicians, psychologists, social workers, and correctional staff to coordinate care.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans to meet the physical and behavioral health needs of residents.
Provide health education to residents regarding medications, treatments, and wellness practices.
Respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies using appropriate nursing judgment and following established emergency procedures.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with facility policies and state and federal regulations.
Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to case planning and care decisions.
Supervise and support paraprofessional and non-professional staff in the delivery of care and ensure compliance with nursing standards.
Adhere to safety and security protocols within the secure treatment unit, ensuring resident and staff safety at all times.
Promote a therapeutic environment by demonstrating de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed care practices.
Participate in infection control, quality improvement, and other nursing specialty initiatives as needed.
