Position Type: Locum Tenens - Radiation Oncologist
Location: Outpatient and hospital-based setting near Columbus, OH
Dates of Coverage: March 24, 2025 - March 28, 2025
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7 am - 5 pm; no on-call or weekend requirements Practice Environment:
Practice Setting: Primarily outpatient hospital department and free-standing cancer center, with some inpatient consults
Team Structure: Collaborate with one other radiation oncologist on staff
Daily Patient Volume: Outpatient care for approximately 40 adult patients per day Requirements:
Board Certification in Radiation Oncology (mandatory)
Ohio Medical License (active)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (active) Required Skills and Procedures:
Proficiency in Radiation Therapy Techniques:
Conventional Radiotherapy
3D Radiotherapy
External Beam Radiation (3D-CRT, IGRT, IMRT)
Photon Beam Radiation Therapy
Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy
Essential Duties:
Prescribe radiation doses and treatment plans
Order imaging as necessary for treatment efficacy Documentation and Systems:
EMR Systems: Familiarity with Mosaiq and Epic preferred
Credentialing Timeline: Estimated at 90-120 days Compensation and Travel Support:
Hourly Rate: Competitive locum tenens hourly rates
