The Opportunity at Komodo Health
The Proposal Services team is responsible for managing and overseeing the entire proposal development process. This department ensures that proposals are well-crafted, compliant, and competitive, ultimately aiming to secure business opportunities.
The Proposal Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire proposal development process, ensuring that all aspects of the proposal are completed on time and meet the required standards. This role involves coordinating resources, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with bid strategies and customer requirements.
The Proposal Manager will report to the Director, Proposals. They will also collaborate with other Proposal Managers and team members.

Collaborated with subject matter experts (SMEs), sales, and stakeholders to draft proposal content
Proposal draft creation (sourcing content from the content database/Responsive)
Edited RFP/RFI content submitted by others for grammar, punctuation, persuasiveness, flow, and conciseness; eliminates inconsistencies and redundancies
Identified proposal timelines and assigned action items to stakeholders
Ensured RFP/RFI response compliance
Reviewed documents to ensure consistent Komodo brand voice and document completeness
Managed multiple proposals simultaneously and within the pressure of often-tight deadlines
Boosted RFP/RFI content by emphasizing Komodo differentiators, win themes, and advantages
Continuously refreshed and implemented proposal writing best practices
Continuously curated information to update and improve a library of boilerplate content
You will accomplish these outcomes through the following responsibilities…
Manage the development of written, oral, and demonstration proposals
Maintain proposal schedules and organize resources to meet deadlines
Coordinate inputs and reviews from various team members and stakeholders
Ensure the bid strategy is effectively implemented throughout the proposal
Ensure that the proposal complies with all customer requirements and internal standards
Conduct quality checks and reviews to maintain high standards of proposal content
Coordinate the internal flow and review of all proposal inputs
Communicate effectively between stakeholders to ensure a successful proposal delivery
Identify and mitigate proposal risks early in the process.
Address potential weaknesses in the process or team capabilities to avoid last-minute issues
Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous proposals
What you bring to Komodo Health (required):
5+ years in proposal management
Experience in the healthcare industry (preferably Life Sciences or pharma industries) and/or the IT industry
Preferred APMP certification
Familiar with proposal content management systems, preferably RFPio/Responsive (uploading proposals and answers to the database)
Experience using Salesforce, Google docs, Adobe Acrobat DC Pro, and other business productivity tools
Experience working with company stakeholders across functional competencies and management levels
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to translate complex information into clear, concise, and persuasive content
Proficiency in Google documents, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software tools
Knowledge of proposal development processes and best practices
Experience with technology/SaaS writing/products
Additional skills and experience we’d prioritize (nice to have)…
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Technical Writing, or similar field
APMP certification or familiarity with APMP Body of Knowledge.
Content Management experience
Content writing experience of 5+ years
Experience with graphic design tools and techniques

The pay range for each job posting reflects a minimum and maximum range of annual base pay that we reasonably expect to pay for this position within the US. We carefully consider multiple business-related factors when determining compensation, including job-related skills, work experience, geographic work location, relevant training and certifications, business needs and market demands.
The starting annual base pay for this role is listed below. This position may be eligible for performance-based bonuses as determined in the Company’s sole discretion and in accordance with a written agreement or plan. This role may also be eligible for equity awards. In addition, this role is eligible for benefits including, but not limited to, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance; flexible time off and holidays; 401(k) with company match; disability insurance and life insurance; and leaves of absence in accordance with applicable state and local laws and regulations and company policy.
San Francisco Bay Area and New York City:
$99,000—$133,000 USD
All Other US Locations:
$86,000—$116,000 USD
Where You’ll Work
Komodo Health has a hybrid work model; we recognize the power of choice and importance of flexibility for the well-being of both our company and our individual Dragons. Roles may be completely remote based anywhere in the country listed, remote but based in a specific region, or local (commuting distance) to one of our hubs in San Francisco, New York City, or Chicago with remote work options.
