About the Role
We’re seeking a highly motivated Social Media Community Manager Intern to join the Sony Electronics Community Marketing team.
In this role, you’ll support the day-to-day operations of Sony Electronics’ social media presence across key platforms including Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and YouTube. Your primary focus will be nurturing an engaged, active, and positive community through timely, relevant, and thoughtful social media interactions.

Responsibilities
Support the social media content calendar including planning, scheduling, posting, and boosting content across Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube
Monitor community activity: engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and escalate important feedback or issues as needed
Stay on top of social trends, hashtags, viral moments, and cultural conversations to help keep Sony relevant and resonant
Assist with performance analytics, including tracking KPIs, compiling monthly reports, and conducting competitor research
Minimum Requirements
Currently pursuing (or recently earned) a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media, or a related field
A creative, curious thinker with a passion for Sony and consumer tech
Strong familiarity with all major social media platforms and an eye for what works where
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
At least one year of experience in social media strongly preferred (internships, freelance, or academic projects all count)
Ability to work 25-40 hours/week
The anticipated hourly wage for this position is between $20 to $25. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base wage offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
