Position Summary

The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst plays a key role within our Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment, responsible for protecting both internal and client infrastructure, systems, and data. This position serves as the primary escalation point for cybersecurity-related issues, leads the cybersecurity team’s daily activities, and provides expert guidance on cyber risk mitigation. The Sr. Cybersecurity Analyst will consult on and implement cybersecurity policies, tools, and strategies to ensure compliance and protection against evolving threats.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required.

Continuing education in Cybersecurity required.

Experience

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity roles with at least 2 years in a senior or lead position required.

Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring cybersecurity teams.

Proven track record of incident response, risk management, and policy implementation.

Additional Responsibilities

Direct daily activities and assist in the development of the cybersecurity team.

Serve as the primary escalation point for advanced cybersecurity issues, incidents, and questions from both internal staff and external partners.

Oversee threat detection and response efforts, including daily monitoring, analysis of alerts, and coordination of incident response activities to contain, investigate, and recover from security events.

Consult on the implementation of security frameworks and policies across the partner base.

Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits, providing recommendations and leading efforts to mitigate identified risks across the partner base.

Manage the deployment and configuration of cybersecurity tools and technologies across the partner base.

Consult in the development of cybersecurity training and awareness programs for employees, promoting a security-first culture and reducing human-related vulnerabilities.

Act as the primary cybersecurity liaison for internal teams (e.g., IT, compliance, HR) and external stakeholders (e.g., auditors, vendors, clients), ensuring clear communication and responsiveness.

Skills and Abilities

Ability to lead teams through influence

Deep understanding of security technologies.

Expertise in threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response

Familiarity with regulatory compliance and security frameworks.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications

Certifications and Licenses

One or more of the following is required:

CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)

CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)

One or more of the following is preferred:

CompTIA Security +

CySA+

GIAC Certifications

CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)

Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
