We are seeking a strategic and hands-on General Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations and facility management. This role is critical to maintaining production efficiency, ensuring quality, and coordinating efforts across departments. Requirements
Oversee all plant operations including production, logistics, purchasing, and overall facility management
Manage a shop foreman and collaborate closely on production, inventory management, and quality control processes
Develop and implement operational plans to improve productivity and efficiency
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, output, and quality
Maintain compliance with OSHA, safety standards, and other regulatory requirements
Manage facility operations including maintenance, upkeep, organization, and coordination of deliveries and shipments
Lead recruitment, retention, and development of staff
Report directly to ownership or executive leadership on operational performance and key initiatives
Promote open, consistent communication across all levels of the organization to empower employees and encourage collaboration
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with a focus on metal manufacturing and construction products
5+ years of experience in a senior leadership or GM role, demonstrating proficiency in scheduling and project management
Proven success managing cross-functional teams and production schedules in a manufacturing environment
Expertise in Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies, with hands-on experience implementing these practices
Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems, with a track record of optimizing operations
Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team
