Cybersecurity senior leadership team and will report to the CISO of Corient. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and execution of securing cloud (SaaS & PaaS) and traditional IT environments, ensuring the protection of data, infrastructure, and applications. You will build and oversee a high-performing team to monitor, detect, and respond to security threats, driving initiatives that align with industry best practices and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Deliver thought leadership and industry expertise for all capabilities within Cybersecurity Operations.
Team Management: Recruit, lead, and mentor a team of cybersecurity operations professionals in conjunction with a 24x7x365 Managed Detection Response (MDR) partner, focusing on threat detection, incident response, cyber threat intelligence, continuous monitoring and more.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate and partner across Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering teams, and external partners to monitor and maintain existing security products while assisting in delivering new or optimizing existing security controls.
Incident Response: Ensure comprehensive incident management protocols are in place to response swiftly to cybersecurity incidents. Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, coordinating the activities of the incident response team, containing threats, and ensuring that the organization recovers quickly and effectively.
Innovation and Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in cybersecurity technology as well as emerging threats. Adapt and refine daily operations, updating security processes and implementing new defensive measures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of day-to-day cybersecurity operations.
Cyber Analytics: Skilled in using data analytics within SIEM platforms to identify potential threats, enhancing predictive and proactive security measures while incorporating SOAR automation into response processes.
Advanced Threat Detection: Ability to implement advanced threat detection mechanisms to quickly identify and mitigate sophisticated cyber-attacks.
Cybersecurity Operations: Experience with implementing and operating security tools such as Network and Application Security (IDS/IPS/WAF/CASB/Proxy), Endpoint Security (AV/EDR/DLP), Email Security (SEG), Vulnerability Management (VM Scanners/BAS), Cloud Security (CSPM/CNAPP), SIEM and SOAR tools.
Cyber Threat Intelligence: Familiarity with Cyber Threat Intelligence lifecycle. Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&ACK TTPs and incorporating cyber threat intelligence into detection engineering, threat hunting, and incident handling and response processes.
Incident Response: Knowledgeable of Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) processes and tools focused on effective investigation and containment of threats, determining root cause and conducting postmortem activities to improve our security posture.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred, but not required).
10+ years of proven experience in cybersecurity roles, including 5 years of leadership with demonstrated increasing responsibility.
Skills and Certifications
In-depth knowledge of cloud architectures, security frameworks, and cloud-native technologies.
Strategic thinker with an analytical mindset, adept at problem-solving and decision-making.
Expertise in modern threat detection, incident response, and forensics techniques such as MITRE ATT&CK.
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GIAC, or similar are highly desirable.
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the physical capabilities to work in an office environment, which may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Corient seeks to make reasonable accommodations that enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential duties when possible.
This position may require the ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
This position is required to work onsite 4 days per week.

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation; any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation.
