Job Title: CNC Lathe Machine Operator
$30-$32/hr DOE
Job Summary:
Primary responsibilities are to operate and monitor CNC (computer numerically controlled) lathe machines, performing machining operations such as turning, boring, threading and facing. The CNC Lathe Machine Operator will safely control various machines and equipment involved in production.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Operates CNC lathe, related tools, and equipment in the machining of components.
Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
Performs in-process inspections
Cleans and inspects equipment prior to use; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance and effectively communicates machine malfunctions
Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors.
Carries out other duties as assigned or required Required Skills/Abilities:
Must be familiar with general lathe machine operation and mechanical skills.
Must have mechanical problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills.
Must be able to read blueprints, follow instructions, read instruments, and identify tooling and hardware
Must be a citizen of the USA or a legal resident alien
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, able to work independently, & possess excellent time management skills
Must be able to multi-task
Must be able to follow verbal as well as written instructions
Must understand the importance of keeping production on-schedule to meet customer delivery dates
Must understand the importance of adhering to Company Safety and Quality Management System policies Supervisory Responsibilities:

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of related experience desired. Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
Must be able to work in a work Environment that is not temperature regulated, which can be cold/hot depending on the time of year.
