Mechanical Engineer

Selectek is working with a small but growing firm in Rome, GA, that is launching a new Engineering Division and seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who wants to be part of a new initiative, contribute to a collaborative environment, and grow with the firm. They are open to candidates at various experience levels, with a strong preference for those who hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license, though not required.

Key Responsibilities:

Design HVAC and plumbing systems for a variety of commercial and institutional projects

Collaborate directly with principal architects, engineers, and internal teams

Develop construction documents using Revit

Work on a diverse portfolio including pediatric clinics, veterinary hospitals, multifamily housing, and government projects

Ensure projects are designed in compliance with applicable codes and standards

Participate in cross-discipline coordination and client meetings Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering

5+ years of mechanical design experience in HVAC and plumbing systems

Proficiency in Revit drafting software

Strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications:

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)

Experience in medical, veterinary, multifamily, government, commercial, or restaurant sectors Additional Information:

This role is based in Rome, GA, but candidates in Cartersville or other nearby markets are encouraged to apply due to local talent availability.
