Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Employment Type: Full-Time Non-Exempt
Reports To: Plant Manager
About the Role:
Wardcraft is seeking a skilled and experienced Fabricator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in welding and metal fabrication, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role plays a critical part in our production process—cutting, fabricating, and welding components to meet exact specifications. If you're passionate about precision work, collaborating with a team, and building quality products, we want to hear from you.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and verbal instructions to weld and fabricate metal components.
Use MIG and TIG welding equipment to perform quality welds on various materials, including aluminum.
Cut parts to size using saws and handle materials per job order specifications.
Set up and lay out work using jigs, fixtures, and hand tools.
Operate forklifts, hoists, grinders, cutting torches, and other fabrication tools.
Inspect finished welds to ensure compliance with specifications and make necessary corrections.
Collaborate with team members on multi-component fabrications.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
What We’re Looking For:
? 2–4 years of welding/fabrication experience (preferred)
? Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding
? Strong tape measurement and blueprint reading skills (required)
? High School diploma or GED (required)
? Experience with aluminum welding and heavy equipment manufacturing (a plus)
? Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
? Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
Work Environment:
Loud, industrial environment with exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, and varying temperatures (hot summers, cold winters).
Most machines use coolant; expect exposure to coolant-covered parts.
Must be comfortable standing, lifting, and using hand tools for extended periods.
