About You

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) program for our pipe fabrication operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards, including ASME B31.1, B31.3, and ASME/NBIC stamp programs (S, U, R). This leadership role will oversee quality processes from material receipt through final inspection and documentation, ensuring all fabricated components meet or exceed regulatory and client requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ASME and NBIC code requirements.

Oversee code compliance for pipe fabrication projects to ASME B31.1 (Power Piping) and ASME B31.3 (Process Piping).

Lead the preparation and execution of ASME S & U stamp and NBIC R stamp joint reviews, including documentation, internal audits, and auditor coordination.

Ensure welding programs and procedures are qualified and certified to code requirements (WPS, PQR, WPQ).

Manage non-destructive examination (NDE) programs including coordination with certified NDE personnel or third-party contractors.

Supervise quality inspection personnel and provide training to ensure effective quality assurance practices.

Maintain proper calibration of measurement and test equipment used for inspections.

Review and approve manufacturing records, including material test reports (MTRs), weld maps, inspection records, and final data packages.

Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for quality non-conformances.

Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Project Management to ensure alignment on quality requirements and deliverables.

Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality audits and third-party inspections.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Quality Management within a pipe fabrication or pressure vessel manufacturing environment.

Expert-level knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3, and the ASME/NBIC code compliance process.

Proven experience in preparing for and passing ASME S, U stamp and NBIC R stamp joint reviews. NQA-1 Program development is a plus.

Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other formal quality management systems is a plus.

Strong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW) and associated documentation.

Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT/NDE) techniques (VT, RT, PT, MT, UT) and inspection planning.

Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs, and isometric spool sheets.

Exceptional documentation, reporting, and communication skills.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):

AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

ASNT Level II or III NDE Certifications

ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification

Knowledge of Code Ware is a plus
