We are seeking a highly skilled and technically adept Accounting Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This role is ideal for a systems-oriented accountant who thrives at the intersection of accounting, data, and technology. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in NetSuite customization and management, comfortable with Power BI, SQL, and working with large-volume consumer transaction reconciliations. This is a hands-on role focused on building, improving, and maintaining our financial systems and reporting architecture while owning the monthly close-out process.

Job Summary: The Accounting Manager will plan and report on the financial activities of the organization. The Accounting Manager will work with the Chief Financial Officer and department leaders to produce reporting and conduct analysis to create efficiency and provide insight to business opportunities.

Principle Responsibilities:

Serve as the NetSuite expert, managing system configuration, integrations, automation, and user access/roles.

Oversee consumer payment reconciliation and subsequent client accounts payable activity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Participate in monthly close by preparing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations, with a focus on automation and process improvement.

Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to support internal financial reporting, KPIs, and operational metrics.

Provide insights on system enhancements and upgrades, acting as a liaison between Finance and IT.

Prepare and interpret financial reports and data.

Ensure all monthly deadlines are met in accordance with the closing dates set by management.

Ensure compliance with all accounting policies and procedures.

Assist with audit preparation by generating detailed reports and ensuring data integrity across all financial systems.

Measure actual performance against operating plans and standards.

Communicate operational and financial performance of business units to leadership.

Identify trends in financial performance.

Maintain positive working relationships with external clients and banks, addressing questions and resolving financial related issues.

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Advanced proficiency in NetSuite (SuiteScript/SuiteAnalytics experience a plus); ability to learn and work within various software; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Salesforce CRM preferred.

Demonstrated ability to handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

Work Experience:

3+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance.

Training and Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or commensurate combination of education/experience.

Thorough knowledge of GAAP principles.

Complete all required training as assigned.
