We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator / Business Development professional to lead bid preparation and drive client relationships. This hybrid role combines analytical estimating responsibilities with outward-facing sales and networking activities, ideal for someone who thrives in both technical and people-centric environments.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating:

Analyze project plans, specifications, and scope documents for utility locating, SUE, and related services.

Prepare accurate cost estimates, proposals, and bid packages.

Collaborate with operations teams to validate field assumptions and schedules.

Maintain database of historical costs, vendor pricing, and productivity rates.

Business Development:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in public and private sectors.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, engineers, and agencies.

Attend pre-bid meetings, industry events, and networking functions.

Track leads and proposals in CRM system and coordinate follow-up strategy.

Assist with marketing efforts and represent Safe Site’s values and capabilities in the marketplace.Requirements:

1-3+ years of experience in estimating, project coordination, or business development in construction, utility locating, or engineering services.

Strong understanding of underground utility locating, SUE methods, and construction bidding.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office,Microsoft Excel, estimating software, and CRM tools.

Strong communication and presentation skill
