Closing Agent – 1st Shift: Rockford, Illinois

We’re hiring a Closing Agent for a full-time, first-shift opportunity with a well-established title underwriting agency in Rockford, Illinois. This role is crucial in the real estate transaction process, coordinating and finalizing closings while ensuring legal and financial accuracy. Responsibilities of the Closing Agent:

Act as the main point of contact between buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, and attorneys throughout the closing process

Review and ensure all closing documents are signed, notarized, and properly executed

Resolve and clear title issues or discrepancies before closing

Oversee the disbursement of funds, ensuring payments (commissions, taxes, payoffs, etc.) are accurately handled

Maintain accurate accounting and reconciliation of the closing statement and disbursement ledger

Address and resolve any issues or delays that may occur during the closing process

Maintain professionalism while working with a diverse range of individuals

Closing Agent Requirements and Qualifications:

Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines

Proficient in reading and processing legal and financial documents

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Prior experience in real estate closings, title, or legal documentation is a plus

Willingness to learn industry-specific processes and software

Pay for Closing Agent: Starting at $20/hour
