Job Description

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Furnace Technician 2 role in Vancouver. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. With a focus on continuous improvement, they pride themselves on maintaining excellence at every stage of their manufacturing process.Key Responsibilities:

Load, run, and monitor furnaces to ensure efficient operation.

Perform minor maintenance and troubleshoot issues with furnaces to maintain optimal performance.

Understand production priorities and work proactively to reduce bottlenecks.

Implement statistical process control methods to track product quality and make improvements as directed.

Operate additional equipment, including powder compacting presses, sand blasters, and precision scales.

Collaborate with engineering on specific tests and work independently on engineering projects related to production improvements.

Perform light maintenance on equipment to ensure reliability and uptime.

Accurately document processes, maintenance activities, and production data.

Promptly report any equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors.Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in furnace operation or manufacturing is preferred.

Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of various machining processes.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with engineering teams on production improvement projects.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to work the graveyard shift (Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with a $1 shift differential.

Knowledge of statistical process control methods is a plus, but training will be provided.What We Offer:
