The Role:
As a Field Automation Technician, you’ll support our automated water transfer systems in the field. This technical, hands-on role involves installing and maintaining sensors, troubleshooting electronics, configuring devices, and ensuring safe and efficient operations at remote customer sites. You'll split time between field work and shop-based equipment repairs, reporting directly to the Manager of Automated Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and rig down automation equipment on site
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on sensors, valves, and controls
Use hand tools, diagnostic gear, and software to configure and test systems
Respond to field service calls and troubleshoot real-time issues
Interact with clients and represent the company professionally onsite
Complete daily reporting and safety documentation
Travel regionally, often to remote locations, with occasional overnight stays
Adhere to all SOPs, safety standards, and training requirements
Requirements:
1+ year of oil & gas or relevant industrial experience
Experience with electrical wiring, electronics, or instrumentation
Familiarity with multimeters, computers, and basic networking
Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and with a team in fast-paced environments
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly

Schedule:
Field-Based Full-Time 12-hour shifts possible Travel and overnight stays as required
