The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Corporate Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is seeking a sharp and analytical ERM analyst who excels in critical thinking, problem-solving, and dashboard creation. This role involves leveraging your analytical skills to identify issues and contribute to the optimization and protection of enterprise value.
In this role you will work to support ERM projects and processes, including reporting for various ERM committees comprising senior executives and members of the Board of Directors, by performing risk analysis and preparing reporting packages. You will have the opportunity to participate in group wide ERM related initiatives to support the achievement of the Company’s objectives. You will support efforts to identify future risk sources, develop risk strategy recommendations, and craft presentations to key business partners and senior leadership.
This is a remote position; however, candidates residing within 50 miles of Boston, MA, will report on-site twice a week. Please note that this policy is subject to change.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting and Dashboard Development:
Gather essential data from diverse sources for report creation.
Evaluate the gathered information to uncover trends and derive insights.
Execute calculations and develop visual representations to highlight critical data points.
Summarize key findings to accompany reports and dashboards effectively.
Ensure all reporting materials are accurate and delivered promptly.
Assistance to the ERM Team:
Participate in committees and meetings, documenting important decisions and action items thoroughly.
Perform literature reviews and investigate various risk-related subjects as requested.
Engage with stakeholders to synchronize tasks and facilitate their timely execution.
Aid in creating presentation materials and reports for discussions regarding risk management issues.
Involvement in ERM Projects:
Spearhead or contribute to designated ERM projects, ensuring that objectives are achieved within the established timeline and scope.
Collaborate with colleagues on various project tasks as necessary.
Participate in specific project components, including data analysis, information generation, and document preparation.
Consult with stakeholders to collect insights and feedback throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare and circulate meeting minutes that capture decisions made and action items assigned.
Process Enhancement Initiatives:
Recognize opportunities to enhance existing documentation and presentation assets.
Work with team members to improve dashboards and the reporting workflow.
Optimize processes to boost efficiency and effectiveness within ERM operations.
Keep systematic records of all project documents, reports, and communications.
Qualifications
Competencies typically acquired through a bachelor`s degree in a quantitative field.
A Master`s degree is preferred.
2 to 4 years of relevant experience is required.
Additionally, strong quantitative analysis and modeling skills, and experience in an analytical capacity (e.g.), financial analysis, product management, actuarial, underwriting, etc.are required.
Solid understanding of the risk characteristics of insurance industry preferred.
Solid understanding of basic financial concepts and metrics, including financial statement analysis preferred.
