Compensation: $49,920 - $83,200 Annually
About the Role
Hansen & Company Woodworks is seeking a detail-oriented and strategically minded Estimator Associate to join our Estimating Team. This individual will play a vital role in supporting our design-aligned sales strategy by interpreting design intent, identifying value engineering opportunities, and crafting proposals that meet both client objectives and internal production capabilities.
Success in this role requires more than technical take-offs—you’ll actively engage in early-stage planning discussions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and shape winning proposals that reflect HCo’s reputation for precision, quality, and innovation in commercial casework and millwork.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Estimators and Sales to develop detailed, timely, and competitive proposals.
Analyze RFQs, RFPs, architectural plans, and bid documents to determine scope and key project requirements.
Interpret design intent and provide value engineering solutions that align with project goals.
Conduct accurate millwork and casework take-offs using architectural drawings and specifications.
Gather and evaluate vendor pricing; create estimate summaries and proposal comparison documents.
Build and maintain vendor, subcontractor, and supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing and quality service.
Represent HCo at client meetings, industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our capabilities.
Assist in refining estimating processes, building internal tools, and training team members.
Contribute to HCo’s product specification strategy by helping secure placement in project documentation.
Utilize INNERGY's CRM and estimating software to manage leads, forecast opportunities, and generate reports.
Support the deployment and continuous improvement of INNERGY ERP software.
Coordinate seamless project handoffs from estimating to project management teams.
Required Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in estimating, project management, accounting, or data analysis.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, purchase orders, and contracts.
Familiarity with woodworking, casework, fabrication, construction, or manufacturing environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, cost analysis, and documentation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/estimating platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in commercial millwork or casework estimating.
Familiarity with the INNERGY ERP platform.
Experience in value engineering or design-assist environments.
Proficiency in take-off and estimating tools.
Background in working with architects, general contractors, or design teams.
