Principal SAP Systems Architect

Job Description

Our client, an industry leader in the communication space, has the need for a talented SAP Systems Architect. The role is Hybrid and provides some flexible work from home days with at least 3 days per week being spent on-site in either our clients Atlanta or Frisco office location.

This is a full-time, direct-hire position with our client and the chosen candidate will enjoy a selection of world class benefits and a very attractive comp plan.

The chosen Principal System Architect will be designing creative and scalable systems and software solutions that address business and technical needs on the web and across our clients enterprise systems. This architect will also play a key role in modernizing supply chain architecture, integrating on-prem SAP with cloud-native microservices and API-driven ecosystems comprised of SAP ECC/S4 HANA and cloud-native supply chain integrations (e.g., WMS, TMS, 3PL/4PL) using REST APIs and middleware.

What should your past be filled with?

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related subject area.

Technology certifications (such as Java, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP)

7-10+ years' experience in business environments.

More than 7 years of experience as software or systems architect, engineer, or programmer.

Supply Chain domain knowledge is a must

Expertise in systems operational improvements, systems Infrastructure, network troubleshooting, resiliency, Security Experience is must

Some thing that will get you to the front of the line:

SAP background with BASIS, ABAP experience is preferable

Experience in Microservices architecture, Kubernetes, Java/SpringBoot is preferable

Relevant industry certifications in cloud architecture, SAP, or enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF) are a plus.

Proven experience in implementing supply chain features like BOPIS, last-mile delivery, warehouse automation, and logistics integrations (TMS, WMS, 3PL/4PL).

Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud) and cloud-native development.

Experience managing technical debt and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) in long-term architecture strategies.

Familiarity with data privacy, encryption, and compliance standards in enterprise systems.
