Tasks and responsibilities for Assembly Mechanic
· Work with Plant Engineer, Planners and Operations to complete projects. Plan and complete work from initial layout to final assembly by interpreting and applying oral instructions, plans, specifications, blueprints, and work orders.
· Compile data from reports for documentation of flow and processes purposes
· Diagnose, build, coordinate and perform major maintenance, mechanical repairs, and services to equipment on a daily basis. Cover Operations and Maintenance positions as required.
· Wiring harness installation experience preferred
· Contribute to daily start-up and monthly department meetings ensuring thorough communication to associates. Provide direction, verbally and in writing concerning operation and repair.
· Manage and monitor the performance and efficiency of operations, building operating systems, engines subcomponents and components (transmissions, drive axels…) and other mechanical and electrical equipment
· Perform computer-related activities as necessary to accomplish tasks, including the work management and project scheduling systems,, e-mail, calendar and spreadsheets
· Actively participate in technical and safety training programs. Conducts and records weekly safety meetings. Direct Maintenance Mechanics to safely and properly maintain plant equipment, with the goal of 100% reliability and minimum downtime for unexpected repairs.
· Ensures work performed is in accordance with established procedures and/or manufacturer's specifications
· Uses diagnostic equipment and procedures to diagnose and correct equipment faults
Qualifications:
· 3 years of technical and supervisory experience in electrical engineering with a strong background in technical aspects of repair and maintenance (5 years of experience, preferred)
· Completion of Vocational-Technical School program in a related field or demonstrated skills via third party certificates/assessment preferred
· Ability to operate a forklift, electric cart, or electric lift preferred
· Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people
EDUCATION:
College and/or High School Degree in Technical, Education, Management, Associates, General Education, Industrial, Military, Secondary Education, Graduate, Automotive TechnologyRequirements:
Automotive experience is needed for engine, transmission, drive axle and electronic installation and troubleshooting.
Full-time
