Shodair Children’s Hospital is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our leadership team. The Controller will assist the CFO in overseeing all financial operations for the Hospital and Foundation, including accounting, payroll, budgeting, audits, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.

Lead monthly financial closes and preparation of statements.

Ensure compliance with federal and state financial regulations.

Develop internal controls and safeguard assets.

Manage cash flow, investments, and budget processes.

Coordinate annual audits and tax reporting (990s, 5500s).

Provide financial analysis and reporting for strategic decision-making.

Collaborate with leadership to support operational and financial goals.Requirements:

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business (with accounting emphasis) required.

CPA certification required.

Minimum 5 years of senior financial management experience.

Strong knowledge of healthcare finance preferred.

Proficient in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Master’s degree and prior supervisory experience. strongly approved.

Prior experience in hospital or healthcare financial management a plus.
