We are seeking an experienced and credentialed Registered Dietitian for a Clinical Nutrition Manager II role for our clients' brand-new, state-of-the-art acute care facility in Grand Forks, North Dakota. This is a unique leadership opportunity to oversee a robust clinical nutrition program at a modern, stand-alone multi-specialty hospital.
Location: Remote 1 day per week and flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the clinical nutrition operations for both inpatient and outpatient care.
Supervise a team of 4 Registered Dietitians and 5 Diet Clerks, ensuring quality, consistency, and collaboration across services.
Provide direct patient care approximately 20% of the time.
Collaborate with management of the hospital’s meal service program and menu systems.
Foster a team environment that prioritizes learning, mentorship, and professional development.
Lead quality improvement initiatives and support organizational goals related to accreditation, compliance, and patient care standards.
RequirementsMinimum Qualifications & Skills:
Registered Dietitian credentials
Acute care clinical experience
Supervisory or management experience
Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills
Experience with regulatory accreditation, regulatory readiness and review, and establishing and maintaining standards of care.
Education:
Master’s degree with ACEND-accredited coursework and supervised practice
OR, for those eligible for the RD exam before 1/1/2024: Bachelor’s degree with ACEND-accredited coursework and supervised practice.
Credentials:
Eligible for RD/RDN credentials through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR); must be registered within 120 days of hire.
Holds or can obtain any necessary state licensures or certification for dietetic practice in North Dakota.
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire.
Experience:
At least 13 months of management or supervisory experience, including oversight of people or resources.
3+ years of professional practice as a dietitian, including independent work and supervision of developing practitioners.
Proven acute care clinical nutrition experience.
Previous supervisory or management experience in a healthcare or hospital environment.
Familiarity with regulatory standards and accreditation preparation.
Preferred Skills:
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to lead performance improvement efforts.
