The Computer System Analysts III will provide technical and administrative direction for personnel performing software development tasks, including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to user standards, and for progress in accordance with schedules. Coordinate with the Project and/or Program Manager to ensure problem solutions and user satisfaction. Make recommendations, if needed, for approval of major systems installations. Prepare milestone status reports and deliveries/presentations on the system concept to colleagues, subordinates, and end user representatives. Provide daily supervision and direction to support staff.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
Bachelor’s degree with at five (5) years of relevant work experience in IT customer support or an Associate degree or H.S. diploma with at least seven (7) years of relevant work experience.
Security + certification required.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Guides users in formulating requirements, advises on alternatives and on the implications of new or revised data processing systems.
May serve as lead analyst in a design subgroup, directing and integrating the work of one or two lower level analysts - each responsible for several programs.
Develops programs and procedures to assist the Program Support Center with mission and HHS Directives.
Develops strategies and procedures to efficiently manage and report on information system plans of action and milestones (PO&M).
Develops quality assurance (QA) metrics to assess the design, testing, implementation and maintenance of the software development lifecycle.
Formulates project plans and budget information in support of IT initiatives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree with at five (5) years of relevant work experience in IT customer support or an Associate degree or H.S. diploma with at least seven (7) years of relevant work experience.
Security + certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.

The estimated pay range for this role is $70K – 120K with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
