It’s Time to Get Better at Piedmont! Join us at Piedmont as we continue to
grow! We are a 24 bed Medical/Surgical fast-paced, high acuity Intensive
Care Unit staffed with Critical Care Intensivists/APPs 24/7. Also included in
our staff mix are Registered nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and Patient
Care technicians. Typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:2/ 1:3.
ICU 24 Beds
• Sepsis and Multi System Organ failure management
• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
• Targeted Temperature Management (TTM) for post cardiac arrest
• Advanced Invasive & Non Invasive Hemodynamic Monitoring
o Arterial lines
o Flotrac/EV 1000
o Central Venous Catheters
• EKOS Ultrasound Accelerated Thrombolysis
• Intra Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
• Impella
• Titration of vasopressors
• Titration of continuous paralytics
• Use of BIS monitor /TOF monitor
• Management of Pacemakers
• Complex Respiratory Failure patients requiring advanced ventilatory
support
• Post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention
• Acute Stroke Care with Alteplase management
• Management of Shock to include cardiac, septic, hypovolemic.
• Management of neurosurgical patients including care of external
ventricular devices
• Patients with ARDS requiring manual prone therap
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Continuous collaboration with the Clinical Manager to ensure consistent supervision of the staff.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a nursing program.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Two (2) years of nursing experience in a hospital (inpatient roles) or clinical (outpatient roles) setting.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous supervisory experience desired. Valid BLS certification required. ACLS certification may be required given unit specialty. Leadership qualities that demonstrate creativity, innovation, proactive and collaborative relationship. Participation in continuing education and maintenance of current knowledge for the care of patients in assigned unit(s). Bachelor s degree preferred. Advanced certification in field of specialty.
