About the Company

Our client is a high-growth B2B SaaS provider delivering AI-powered workflow automation to Fortune 1000 customers. Backed by top-tier PE investors, ARR has doubled three years running and is on track to surpass $200 M+ in 2026. With a planned IPO horizon of 24-36 months, the finance organization is professionalizing its controls, reporting, and analytics functions.

Why This Role

C-suite visibility: Report directly to the CFO and present financial results to the Board and investors.

IPO readiness: Lead the conversion from private to public-company reporting standards, SOX controls, and SEC filings.

Build & mentor: Oversee a 12-person accounting team (GL, revenue, AP, payroll); hire 5+ new FTEs in the next year.

Tech modernization: Drive the rollout of NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, and BlackLine to scale processes.

Strategic impact: Partner with FP&A on SaaS KPIs (NRR, CAC, LTV) and M&A due diligence.

Equity upside: Meaningful stock option grant aligned with the company’s aggressive growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close (US GAAP) with a target close of Day 5.

Ensure accurate SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606) across subscription, usage-based, and professional-services streams.

Design and maintain SOX-compliant internal controls; coordinate annual audit with Big 4 firm.

Prepare consolidated financial statements, Board decks, and investor packages; manage technical accounting memos.

Oversee tax compliance (federal, multi-state income, sales & use), equity accounting, and stock-based compensation.

Lead ERP optimization (NetSuite) and integrations with CRM (Salesforce) and billing platforms (Zuora/Stripe).

Partner with FP&A to refine forecasting, budgeting, and SaaS metric dashboards (Power BI).

Support corporate development on acquisition accounting and post-deal integration.

Requirements

Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA required (Big 4 public-accounting foundation strongly preferred).

10+ years’ progressive accounting leadership with at least 3 years as Controller or Assistant Controller in a high-growth software/SaaS environment

Deep expertise in ASC 606, stock comp (ASC 718), lease accounting (ASC 842), and SOX readiness.

Proven success leading ERP implementations (NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP) and automating close processes (BlackLine, FloQast).

Strong command of SaaS metrics and the ability to translate technical results into strategic insights for non-finance leaders.

Hands-on, roll-up-the-sleeves mentality balanced with a strategic mindset and polished executive presence.
