The Point Pleasant School District is seeking a Secretary to the High School Principal (Head Secretary)
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School graduate
High School secretarial experience preferred
SKILLS:
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Strong communication skills (with emphasis on writing)
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Classroom, Slides)
TERMS:
12-month position
DUTIES:
Complete a wide variety of administrative tasks that facilitate the Principal's ability to effectively operate the school, including assisting with special projects; designing, producing, and updating complex documents, reports, and presentations using Microsoft Office or Google Suite; collecting and preparing information for meetings with staff and parents and facilitating all logistic details; composing and preparing correspondence; maintaining an open line of communication between the high school and the parents through the use of mass communication methods such as social media outlets, the high school website, and School Messenger; and maintaining a high volume calendar to ensure efficiency in the Principal's day-to-day operations.
Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external matters of the Principal and, at times, other administrators, including those of a highly confidential or critical nature.
Serve as a liaison between the administrators and other staff, always maintaining open communication channels.
Manage and oversee secretarial staff to ensure efficiency in the high school.
Other general office responsibilities as needed.
