Job Title: Finance Controller

Overview:
A well-established company in York, SC is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Finance Controller to lead financial operations and support the company's growth initiatives. This key leadership role will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all finance functions.
The ideal candidate is an experienced finance professional with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and proven leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all accounting operations, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements accurately and on time
Develop budgets, financial forecasts, and conduct variance analyses to inform strategic decisions
Ensure compliance with GAAP and all relevant financial regulations and laws
Maintain and improve internal control systems to protect company assets and ensure reporting integrity
Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and performance management
Coordinate annual audits with external auditors and ensure timely completion
Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and capital requirements to maintain financial stability
Support tax planning and filing processes in collaboration with tax advisors
Evaluate and enhance accounting systems and processes for efficiency improvements
Partner with company leadership to support business planning, strategic initiatives, and operational enhancementsQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred
Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and GAAP
Proficient with financial software systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
High attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of federal and state compliance and tax regulations
Experience managing audits and external financial reviewsWorking Conditions:
Primarily office-based with occasional remote work flexibility
May require extended hours during peak reporting periodsPay Details: $100,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year
