Job Description:

North West Hendricks School Corporation is seeking a passionate and qualified High School Special Education Teacher to join our team at Tri-West High School. The successful candidate will support students with disabilities through individualized instruction, collaboration, and a commitment to inclusion.

Responsibilities include:

Deliver specialized instruction aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs

Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote student success

Monitor and document student progress, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations

Participate in IEP meetings and help develop measurable goals and service plans

Implement and support behavior intervention plans as needed

Communicate regularly with families and team members to ensure consistent support

Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment

Stay current with best practices and participate in ongoing professional development
