Manual Machinist

Shift: 6: 00 AM - 2: 30 PM + OT when needed

Responsibilities:

Operate CNC and manual lathes, mills, and vertical turning lathes (VTLs)

Read and interpret blueprints, OEM drawings, work instructions, and specifications

Set up and align large rotors and turbine components for precision machining

Program and adjust CNC machines to control speed, feed, depth of cut, and other factors

Perform runout corrections, grinding, and burnishing as needed

Support safety protocols and promote a safe-to-start mindset on the shop floor

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

10+ years of machining experience (CNC and Manual) or a mix of education and experience

Expert-level skill operating CNC/Manual mills, lathes, and VTLs

Experience with gas and steam turbine components (HSPT, GE10s, Frame 3, 5, 6, 7 is a plus)

Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to calculate feeds and speeds
