Accounting Assistant

We are conducting a search for an Accounting Assistant to join the team of a client located in the Tampa Bay area. Reference and background check will be required.

Highly competitive compensation of $55,000 - $65,000 (commensurate with experience) Accounting Assistant Job Duties:

Reconcile client accounts on a daily or weekly basis.

Record entries from point-of-sale systems.

Perform bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations.

Manage accounts payable and process vendor payments.

Handle accounts receivable, including invoice generation and payment processing.

Utilize bank feed features for efficient account mapping.

Generate profit and loss reports and conduct financial analyses.

Assist with payroll and sales tax preparation.

Support monthly closeout procedures and ensure timely financial reporting.

Special projects, as needed. Accounting Assistant Skills/Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Accounting a plus

2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required

Software: QuickBooks experience is preferred, and Microsoft Excel

Strong understanding of journal entries, debits, and credits

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills required

Team player willing to learn new tasks

Strong attention to detail skills required

Superb communications skills required
