What you will be doing:
Oversee consultant procurement for assigned ODOT districts.
Analyzes programmatic documents prior to posting contracts.
Analyzes scope of work and proposed fees of engineering contracts.
Negotiates to determine fair & reasonable compensation for engineering contracts.
Submits encumbrances and drafts and executes agreements for assigned ODOT districts.
Ensures contract compliance with Ohio Revised Code and Federal Highway Administration Rules.

Licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors;
12 mos. exp. as Transportation Engineer 3, 85643; if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project
sites, must possess valid driver’s license.
-Or licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers &
Surveyors; 2 yrs. exp. as group or project leader or supervisor providing work direction & training to employees engaged
in engineering projects or 2 yrs. exp. in managing engineering research projects (i.e., managing research projects applies
only to staff specialist positions); if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites, must possess
valid driver’s license.
