Description
The Director of Customized Training & Workforce Development is a professional responsible for providing training for the manufacturing/distribution sector and the development/maintenance of training needed to support the workforce development sector. The Director of Customized Training & Workforce Development is responsible for supporting student success, responding to student needs, modeling employability skills, demonstrating professionalism, developing cooperative work relationships with other faculty, staff, and external partners and supporting college administrative requirements. The Director of Customized Training & Workforce Development is expected to perform all job-related duties in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of the College, the North Carolina Community College System, and with appropriate accrediting entities where applicable.
Detailed Work Activities
Responsible for providing administrative leadership for the Customized Training & Workforce Development programs and providing a quality learning experience for the students of Robeson Community College
Planning, organizing and promoting appropriate courses for Robeson Community College
Perform all instruction-related duties in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of the College, the North Carolina Community College System, and with appropriate accrediting entities where applicable
Responsible for providing placement, advising, follow-up support services and performing other duties as assigned
Provides leadership for: manufacturing, regional and national warehousing and distribution centers, customer support centers, air courier services, national headquarters and civil service employees providing technical support to installations located in North Carolina, and program development opportunities of the College in coordination with the senior administrators.
Develop and maintain workforce, transportation, industry and construction trade programs to meet local and state industry needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management or a related field as well as a five (5) years' work experience in manufacturing, business management or human resources.
