Job Functions & Responsibilities

CAD Designer performs a variety of moderately complex drafting tasks using appropriate Computer Aided Design Drawing (CADD) software.

Prepares preliminary sketches and/or schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, accurate layout details and assembly drawings, detailed drawings of parts, assemblies, and related items.

Develops drawings from sketches and data provided by Engineers and Designers.

Work is performed on new drawings or as revisions to existing drawings.

Assists other CAD Operators in developing skills and techniques for efficient and accurate drawing production.

Education & Certifications

• High School diploma or Technical trade school certification.

• Associate’s degree preferred.

• Minimum of 4 years of applicable experience as a CAD designer
