Job Description: The AV Engineer will be well rounded and experienced in commercial Audio/Visual systems. The AV Engineer should have strong industry knowledge of best practices and installation standards consistent with InfoComm and manufacturers specifications. The AV Engineer must be proficient in reading and interpreting AV Signal one-line drawings, able to understand system function and determine cable pull schedule from this information. The AV Engineer must maintain a professional and presentable appearance and be capable of interfacing with clients.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Commercial AV experience
Preferred AV certifications (CTS & EAVA, Crestron Programmer 1, QSYS level 1)
QSC/Crestron Experience
Crestron programming or DSP file creation
Experience 3+ years prior
Networking – Able to coordinate network requirements with clients, configure network switches for multicast traffic & manage VLANs.
Drawings – Proficient in creating signal flow diagram, rack elevations.
AV Design – Able to vet designs for missing/ wrong material.
Crestron debugging and code adjustments.
Remote technical support
Able to commission and close out projects with little direction.
Good work ethic and attitude
Logistics:
Contract to hire opportunity (they are growing their team and intend to convert people after 640 hours worked)
Day shift schedule, around 40 hours per week.
Flexibility on start time.
$40-$50/hr. depending on certifications/experience.
