Quality Assurance Coordinator

Temp to Hire

1st shift - 6am - 3:30pm

Pay: $20 - $25

SUMMARY

Perform a number of inspecting duties involving in-process parts, raw materials and finished products. Read and interpret customer drawings, specifications and related inspection data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate with ISO auditors during audits

Generate and distribute PCAR (Preventive Corrective Action) reports

Generate yearly NAFTA reports for specific customers

Read drawings and maintain quality documentation

Train staff on quality procedures and provide guidance on standards

Coordinate and help maintain the supplier list

Use measuring tools: micrometer, caliper, scale, diameter tape, alloy tester, compression test machine, etc.

Inspect slit steel and in-process parts; perform visual-mechanical inspections

Record compression and test results on first piece parts

Inspect incoming materials and test reports (e.g., fillers, sheet steel, winding materials, plated parts)

Conduct in-process audits and inspections

Perform final inspections on specialized gaskets using critical commercial/military standards

Record all inspection results using appropriate forms and systems

Utilize computers to store/retrieve data and reports; maintain organized files

Assist in applying and guiding others in Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Interact with customers to address product concerns and inquiries

Create reports for presentations

Support internal and customer audits related to quality and raw materials

Report defective materials, faulty equipment, and unsafe conditions to supervisor

Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment

Follow all safety regulations

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager

Education and/or Experience

One-year certificate from college/technical school, or

Three to five years of experience in gaskets or Quality Assurance, or

Equivalent combination of education and experience

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and procedures

Write reports, correspondence, and technical documentation

Communicate effectively via phone and email

Mathematical Skills

Calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume

Apply basic algebra and geometry
