A leading manufacturing company is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support key HR functions and contribute to a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented professional with experience in payroll, employee relations, and training. Working collaboratively, the new team member will strengthen HR operations by administering policies, supporting compliance, and coordinating employee programs while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

Approachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees at all levels with a strong customer service focus.

Serve as a resource for all employees at the site and act as an example for others while demonstrating the core values of Lander.

A focal point for HR Administrative tasks such as headcount reporting, time & attendance audits, payroll processing and employee onboarding.

Partner with Group HR Manager to drive projects and initiatives.

Provide guidance and support for a full suite of HR functions, including talent management, performance management, organizational change, policy and process implementation, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and facilitating team performance.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local law in all matters related to labor and employment.

Prepare and process personnel action forms and requests.

Communicate and interpret company policy to employees and site leadership.

Maintain all personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.

Help managers to determine appropriate staffing levels, manage open positions, track headcount, and lead hiring activities.

Provide coaching, advice, council, and support for leadership, management, employees, and peers.

Act as an impartial advocate to ensure that all employees are treated fairly and equitably.

Conduct investigations, counsel employees, and ensure consistent application of progressive disciplinary action.

Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care.

Track performance indicators and provide reports to aid managers in making key decisions.

Look for ways to improve HR programs and processes.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Prepare annual HSE auditing schedules & conducting audits.

Carry out inspections and audits of the site and produce written reports capturing the findings.

Attend the HSE meeting at the site, take notes, and follow up on the actions to achieve the aims.

Monitor and report on environmental performance, maintaining the ISO14001 certification. Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college, 2-4 years professional work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications, i.e., Excel, Word. Experience using HRIS tools

Experience in payroll processing, preferred

Strong influencing skills across functions; confidence to approach employees and managers with difficult messages and defend position; equally, confidence to advocate strongly for employees

Coordinate activities to ensure deadlines are met related to inducting new temporary and permanent employees. Monitoring Team Leaders and reviewing performance levels with the Plant Manager. Guiding others to ensure that the appropriate policies and procedures are followed

Accountable for ensuring errors are kept to a minimum and targets are maintained. Potential financial losses related to poor quality training. Needs to ensure that compliance with employment legislation is followed when offering advice and support to managers

This position is governed by the Company procedures, goals and objectives; the candidate should have the ability to understand how they can support the achievement of those goals and objectives
