Box Truck Driver

Job Description

We are seeking a Box Truck Driver to join our team! You will be responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, as well as the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including box trucks and manual transmission vehicles. The Truck Driver will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of safety.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a truck or delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations.

Load and unload cargo using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.

Maintain accurate delivery logs and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly.

Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns.

Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organization.

Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding safety and conduct while on the road.

Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.

Requirements

Valid driver's license (CDL) preferred but not required

A clean driving record.

Experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is highly desirable.

Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes.

Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively.

Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Experience with heavy lifting and moving items safely is essential.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Previous experience as a courier or delivery driver is a plus.
